About Us

Sara Lamb, RCT, CCC, Certified eft therapist

A white woman in her 50s looks straight into the camera. She has bright blue eyes, and glasses with striking red frames. Her silver hair tumbles to her shoulders. She is standing in front of a brick wall, and wears a blue sleeveless top.

As a partner, mother of three young adults and self-employed person, I know something about the joys and struggles of keeping our busy, complex lives in balance. My work as a therapist is informed by a deep understanding and compassionate curiosity about the challenges we all face at some point – whether about parenting, work, family relationships or our growth as individuals.

I hold a M.Ed. in Counselling from Acadia University, am a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) with NSCCT, and a certified counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Each of us has a story we want to be true. What kind of partner/parent/friend do I want to be? What is the work I want to do in the world? What do I want to make more central, and where do I want to learn to let go?

As a therapist, I want to create a space where we can talk safely and honestly—about your story and all that you're holding, but also about how you want to hold it. If you’re seeing me in individual sessions, then we’re exploring what matters most to you and how to work with the obstacles that keep you from it. And if you’re coming as a couple, then we’re working together to help you have the conversations you want to have, but don’t know how.

My work with clients often reflects my training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), but I also draw from all the various experiences of my life—from working with the joys and struggles of being a dad and partner, to the loss of loved ones, to living and training in Zen monasteries in Japan.

I am licensed (RCT-C) by the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and hold a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology (MA) from Yorkville University.

Andrea Titterness, counselling intern

A white woman with shoulder-length hair and a friendly smile, standing in front of some bushes.

Life can be busy and sometimes overwhelming.

Sometimes the loads we carry can become a little heavy, and I am here to support you during that time. My practice is informed by many approaches, including Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness — but the overarching theme is compassion. I also draw from life experiences such as being a mother, an academic, a musician, and an outdoor enthusiast, that help me be open and accepting.

I hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and am in my practicum for a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists.
